The Zongkar Choede school for young monks was formally opened in 1995 within the compound of the monastery. It was primarily to fulfill a part of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s wishes and concern for educating young Tibetans to produce better future generations. To provide modern education to all young monks in addition to their monastic studies and trainings. The monastery has tried hard with it’s scarce resource to provide wider education facilities to the young monks. A school building with 3 class rooms was built and 3 teachers employed from within our Tibetan community.

We are badly in need of financial support or sponsors for effectively running the monastery's school. Our main lack of resource is the school teachers’ salaries and allowances. Any support by individual or group towards the following needs for the school is most appreciated and welcome.
